Very good software. Does procedural texture generation, and it does it well. It takes a little getting used to how things work. However most users should have everything under controle within an hour of use. So one of the other reviews complains that other programs, some of which are free, can do similar things to this product. The product is basically a slimmed down simpler version of filter forge only much much cheaper. Similar functions can also be found inside the blender node editor. I have used both, and yet i've found Working with Zeuxis to be a much easier and more enjoyable experience. Nodes are scalable, connected through direct contact, and in a seperate window than the settings that they contain. This makes arangement rather easy, and an entire set can be put off to one side on its own. Using the copy and load nodes a set of nodes can be saved, and its output duplicated to entire other areas without having to redo everything. Some of the aspects i like are probably things that only I care about. In the combine node, you can combine the different rgba channels of the two inputs in different ways choosing between things like add, subtract, multiply, etc where as in other programs I have used I would have to seperate the different channels out and handle each of these combines seperatly.I love the way that this program handles normal maps. It can generate one from basically any input, and does a better job then some other programs do with the same feature. You can then apply a lighting node to it to generate a lit surface from different angles. This is monumentally useful to me.I like this program a lot, but that doesn't mean nothing is wrong with it, But the creator has responded to concerns or requests that I have brought up in the forums. I suggest anyone who is even remotely interested in this software try out the demo first and see if it fits their needs. If it is useful, its $6.99. I spent more on food today then that.. This software is great, I used it alot working on a 3d project for school along side photoshop and NeoTextureEdit and maya..A great tool for any game artist!!. Pretty Nice, hopefully more Generators Like the Ones in Texture maker will be Available in this Program to Mess Around with. Like the Rectangles and Scratches Generators.LINK TO TEXTURE MAKER GENERATORS: http:\/\/www.texturemaker.com\/help\/functions\/overview_generator.htm. Takes a bit of figuring out, though use the Project Menu and Load some from the EXAMPLES folder, might help you to understand a bit more how the process actually works, but I gotta say, I'm impressed for sure. It would be nice to get the dang ambition \/ motivation, all these apps \/ tools \/ skills but what to do ... Work time is slow, need work now for sure, though am def. going back to computer work, I don't mind working outside, but doing 80% of the work and squat for pay, wasting my time and skills and tired of it all, also tired of being broke and starving... With the 30 domain names I have, I have got to get my head back on track ... Chripes, enough about poor old me, this software is definitely worth the money and it is great for making tiles, say, like walls in a video game or 3d object textures... Great Job, Dev!. Played with it for a little while and it does exactly what you would think it does. I am not working on anything that would require a texture atm but one can never have too many tools! It would be nice to have a few in depth tutorials for those who don't know what a lot of these options are. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a better intro tutorial also to help a beginner get their feet wet. All in all, it's a cool tool!. Still early in it's life but so far, looking like it could compete with Genetica and other high end software programs for doing texture making. I use programs such as this every day and I really feel the price tag, whatever the price moves to, would be well worth it for this piece of software. Currently I'm using it in my own projects but I would like to see the program feature PNG\/JPG outputs as well. Currently as of this writing, only TGA and TIFF is supported as an output if you want to export anything. Still, even with that and the 4096x4096 max resolution, you should still making great textures with this program. I give it a 8.9 out of 10 rating.
